How the Program Works

The Legion Health pilot operates through a chatbot called Doctronic. Patients pay $19 per month for access to the service, which handles prescription renewals for 15 medications classified as "low-risk" psychiatric drugs. These include commonly prescribed antidepressants and anti-anxiety medications like Prozac, Zoloft, Wellbutrin, and Lexapro.

The AI evaluates patients, determines whether to renew their medications, and sends prescriptions directly to pharmacies. This entire process occurs without a physician reviewing each individual decision, which represents a significant departure from traditional healthcare delivery models.

Eligibility and Safety Guardrails

Not everyone qualifies for this program. Patients must be considered "stable," meaning they have not had a recent medication change or psychiatric hospitalization within the past year.
